UK Academic Transcription Services
The VOBA Academic Transcription Service is exemplary, and second to none. We have provided digital transcription services and tape transcription services to students and leading universities throughout the world since 2003. No matter, how big or how small your academic research project is, we can transcribe it.
Our academic transcriptionists are specialist transcribers with experience of transcribing for many qualitative research projects across a wide range of disciplines and subjects. They regularly transcribe for:

- Researchers: Doctors, Lecturers, & Professors
- Educational organisations: Schools, Colleges, & Universities
Our standard turnaround time is within 48hrs. Faster turnaround is available but a premium may be charged. Having said that, we are happy to work to your deadlines to ensure that you can complete your analysis on time and keep your research project on schedule.
We can transcribe from any format to any format. Audio cassettes can be sent to us, and digital audio files can either be submitted to us via www.yousendit.com here, emailed directly to us, or emailed via any other file transfer service.
Transcripts are completed to an agreed format, and e-mailed to you on completion. Your audio cassettes are then returned to you, or your digital audio files are securely deleted from our services. Please note, we will charge for return postage & packaging costs.
To transcribe a recording it requires 4 hours effort to transcribe a 1 hour presentation, 5 hours effort to transcribe a 1 hour 1-to-1 interview, and 9 hours to transcribe a 1 hour focus group.
Transcription is charged on a price per minute or part thereof basis. Although this does depend on the quality of the recording, the clarity of voices, and any background noise. Volume discounts are available and are negotiated on an individual basis. Remember no job is too big or too small, we have the flexibility to cater for all.
